"Shine" Juried Into Green Mountain Watercolor Exhibition

10th Annual Green Mountain Watercolor Exhibition - Mad River Valley Arts

Exhibit runs June 18-July 23, 2022. Opening Reception Sunday June 19, 5-7pm
National juried show of watercolor works by artists from all over the country. Very happy to have my painting, "Shine", selected for this exhibit. 
The poetry of this scene (from a photo I took while on a hike in late summer in the Adirondacks) inspired me with its color and light. The slant of sun filtering through the trees in the forest showcased the tree at the edge of the stream, making everything shine around it. Even the shadows were full of color.
The galleries are also running a Small Works Show that all accepted artists can include an additional work in, so my little watercolor painting "Remembrance" will be traveling to Vermont as well.
**July 10 update: Received notice that "Shine" sold in this exhibit! I'm so glad that something about this piece resonated with the buyer and that it will be off to a new home after the exhibition closes on July 24.
