My solo show, Seeing Trees will be on exhibit from October 3 - November 14, 2026 in the
Elizabeth O'Brien Small Gallery space of North Country Arts' Shirt Factory Gallery. Opening Reception is on Saturday, October 3, 5-7pm as part of NCA's opening reception in the main part of gallery. My eyes are constantly drawn into the woods, immersed in the positive and negative spaces the trees present, pulled by the compelling patterns of branches, leaves and other elements of the forest. Gazing into the woods is calming to me, as my mind starts to weave around and through the trees, auto-piloting through visualizing the composition, marks and colors for a painting. The paintings I will exhibit invite viewers along this journey of being drawn into the woods, to seek the mystery of what might be there, what might lie behind the next stand of trees or around the corner of a group of large rocks.
